With the deepening of global consensus on green development, door and window hardware, as a core component of the building energy-saving system, is undergoing profound industrial transformation. At the production and manufacturing end, the popularization of digital and lean production technologies has become the key to carbon reduction. More than 40% of large-scale enterprises have deployed MES systems and intelligent warehousing. Through the digital management and control of production processes, accurate accounting of raw material consumption and minimization of production waste have been achieved. The application of advanced technologies such as laser cutting and precision forging not only improves product precision, but also reduces energy consumption in the production process by 12% and the average production cost per unit product by 8%. At the same time, the full equipping of wastewater treatment and recycling systems and waste gas purification equipment has transformed hardware production from "high emission" to "clean production".
At the market level, green building material certification has become an important threshold for product circulation. By the end of 2024, the coverage rate of door and window hardware products that have obtained green building material product certification nationwide has reached more than 65% of large-scale enterprises, and the proportion of such products in government procurement and large-scale engineering projects has continued to rise. The advancement of the green building materials going to the countryside activity has driven the sales volume of high-performance low-carbon hardware products in the rural market to increase by 41.3% year-on-year, further expanding the market space for green products.
Low-carbon transformation is not only a policy requirement, but also an inherent demand for the high-quality development of the industry. In the future, with the in-depth application of the carbon emission accounting system in the construction field, the whole-life cycle carbon footprint of door and window hardware products will become a new competitive dimension, promoting the industry to make continuous breakthroughs in material innovation, process optimization, recycling and other aspects, and providing core support for the construction industry to achieve the "dual carbon" goals.
