Door and Window Hardware Achieves Qualitative Leap in Performance

After salt spray test, the surface corrosion rate has been reduced by more than 60%, and the service life has been extended to more than 15 years, far exceeding the service cycle of 8-10 years of traditional products.
The application of carbon fiber composite materials has opened up a new track in the high-end market. As a new type of lightweight and high-strength material, the density of carbon fiber is only one quarter of that of steel, but its strength is several times that of steel. Applying it to high-end door and window hardware components can reduce the product weight by more than 30%, effectively reduce the inertial resistance when opening doors and windows, and improve the operation feel. More importantly, carbon fiber materials have excellent thermal conductivity, which can effectively block the thermal bridge effect of doors and windows, reduce the overall window heat transfer coefficient (K value) by 0.3-0.5W/(m²·K), and help buildings meet the near-zero energy consumption standards. At present, such high-end material hardware products have been widely used in scenarios with strict performance requirements such as super high-rise buildings and passive houses.
The promotion and application of bio-based engineering plastics and recycled materials take into account both performance and environmental protection needs. Bio-based plastics are made from renewable plant resources, which can achieve natural degradation while their mechanical properties are close to traditional plastics, reducing white pollution. The recycling of recycled aluminum, recycled zinc and other materials reduces the carbon emissions of product production by more than 25%, which is in line with the development trend of green and low carbon. Relevant data show that the recognition of hardware products produced with recycled alloy materials in the market continues to improve, with the sales proportion reaching 18% in 2024, and it is expected to maintain an average annual growth rate of more than 20% in the next three years.
Material innovation promotes the upgrading of product design concepts. With the application of high-performance materials, the structural design of hardware products is more compact and reasonable, which not only improves the appearance beauty, but also optimizes the installation space and reduces the construction difficulty. At the same time, the improvement of material performance extends the maintenance cycle of hardware products to more than 5 years, greatly reducing the user's use cost. In the future, material research and development will focus more on the three directions of "high performance, low energy consumption and recyclability", providing core support for the continuous upgrading of the door and window hardware industry.
