The improvement and perfection of the standard system is an important guarantee for the healthy development of the door and window hardware industry. In recent years, relevant departments such as the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development have intensively revised and issued a series of industry standards around core fields such as green low-carbon, safety performance and intelligent technology, providing clear basis for product R & D, production and manufacturing, market circulation and other links, and effectively guiding the standardized development of the industry.
Green low-carbon standards have become an important orientation for industry development. The issuance of the national standard "Green Product Evaluation - Door and Window Hardware" has for the first time included environmental indicators such as carbon emission intensity, recycled material utilization rate and harmful substance limits into the evaluation system, clearly requiring that the carbon emission per unit function of hardware products within the whole life cycle shall not exceed 0.85kgCO₂e/unit. The implementation of this standard has promoted enterprises to increase the application of low-carbon materials and energy-saving transformation of production processes, and accelerated the green transformation of the industry. At the same time, mandatory standards such as the "General Code for Building Energy Conservation and Renewable Energy Utilization" have incorporated the performance parameters of door and window hardware into the building energy efficiency evaluation system, making hardware products a core factor affecting the overall energy efficiency rating of buildings, forcing enterprises to improve the energy-saving performance of products.
Safety performance standards continue to be tightened. In view of the important role of door and window hardware in building safety, relevant departments have revised the "General Technical Conditions for Building Door and Window Hardware", further improving the safety indicators such as mechanical strength, corrosion resistance and fire resistance of products. For example, the standard requires that the tensile strength of load-bearing components such as hinges and sliding braces be increased by 20%, and the corrosion resistance time of salt spray test be extended to more than 1000 hours; fireproof hardware products need to pass more stringent fire resistance tests to ensure reliability in fire scenarios. The implementation of these standards has effectively curbed the market circulation of shoddy products and guaranteed the safety and quality of construction projects.
Intelligent hardware standards are gradually established. With the popularization of intelligent technology, relevant departments are accelerating the formulation of technical specifications for intelligent door and window hardware, covering communication protocols, safety performance, energy consumption indicators, compatibility requirements and other aspects. The standard clarifies the key technical requirements of intelligent hardware products such as communication interfaces, data transmission security and fault alarm mechanisms, solves the compatibility problem between products of different brands, and provides more reliable use guarantee for consumers. At the same time, the standard imposes strict restrictions on the energy consumption indicators of intelligent hardware, promoting enterprises to develop low-power and high-efficiency intelligent products, and promoting the healthy development of the intelligent hardware industry.
The implementation of standards and supervision mechanisms are continuously strengthened. To ensure the effective implementation of standards, market supervision departments have increased the intensity of quality supervision and random inspection of door and window hardware products, focusing on checking whether products meet the requirements of relevant national standards, and investigating and dealing with unqualified products in accordance with the law. The full implementation of the green building material product certification system has further strengthened the regulatory role of standards on the market. By the end of 2024, more than 420 door and window hardware enterprises nationwide have obtained green building material product certification, and the coverage rate of certified products has reached more than 65% of large-scale enterprises in the industry. The development of standard training and promotion work has also improved enterprises' standard awareness, promoting enterprises to integrate standard requirements into the whole process of product R & D and production and manufacturing.
In the future, with the continuous development of the industry, the standard system will be continuously improved, covering more segmented fields and emerging technologies, providing more powerful support for the high-quality development of the door and window hardware industry. At the same time, the international alignment of standards will be further strengthened, helping domestic products to better enter the international market.
